2025 Scholarship Winner: Jeny Ortez

Biography: My name is Jeny Ortez. I was born and raised in Los Angeles but identify as Central American as my parents are from Guatemala and El Salvador. I’ve been a middle school teacher for 8 years and I’m also a graduate student at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where I am pursuing a Masters in Clinical Psychology.
